Serendipity - Paige & Adam’s Story

The universe had a plan for Paige and Adam that was set in motion decades before they would be together. As the years passed there were glimmers of what was meant to be and when the timing was just right, fate stepped in to bring these soulmates together.  Here is their story:

Adam and Paige first crossed paths as ninth graders, sharing the awkward and exciting journey of high school. They had a brief friendship before Adam switched schools after a year. As the years passed, they carried on with their separate lives. 

A decade later, and a twist of fate had Adam booking a last-minute vacation to Cuba with a friend. While checking in at the lobby, Paige recognized a familiar face. She spotted Adam in the check-in line, he was chatting with her mother.  

Throughout that week, their families mingled, and a renewed friendship blossomed amidst the sun-soaked beaches and vibrant Cuban nights. The peak of their reconnection was on New Year's Eve. As the resort buzzed with festivities, Adam and Paige found themselves chatting, sharing stories in the courtyard under the starlit sky. At midnight, they celebrated with a champagne shower, the bubbly spray marking the beginning of something beautiful. 

Returning to Ottawa, Adam and Paige found that the spark between them had ignited into something deeper. They went on two memorable dates, but just as their romance began to flourish, the world came to a halt with the onset of the Covid lockdown in March 2020. Separated by the confines of quarantine, they lost touch, each navigating the uncertainty of those early months apart. 

But destiny was not done with them. In late May, Paige's birthday became the catalyst for their reconnection. Adam reached out, and from that moment on, their relationship deepened and strengthened. They dated for the next 2.5 years, building a bond that was both resilient and tender. 

By August 2022, their love story had reached a new chapter. They walked into La Maison D’Or, eager to explore engagement rings. Paige desired a ring that was uniquely hers, and Laura, the expert, helped them craft the perfect symbol of their love. The process was meticulous and joyful, culminating in the customization of Paige’s dream ring. 

On New Year's Eve 2022, the scene was set for a grand proposal. Adam brought Paige to the National Art Gallery, a place filled with beauty and inspiration. Amidst the art and ambiance, Adam knelt down, proposing as rose petals showered around them, capturing the magic of their love. 

The proposal was followed by an exquisite blind seven-course dinner at Beckta, where they toasted to their future with celebratory champagne. Every moment was savored, each dish a testament to their shared adventure. 

Adam and Paige returned to La Maison D’Or to purchase their wedding bands. Adam only liking small details from various rings, Laura assisted Adam in designing a fully customized One-Of-A-Kind wedding band.  

Their wedding took place ten months later, on August 27, 2023, in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Surrounded by family and friends, Adam and Paige pledged their lives to one another, their journey from teenage friends to lifelong partners now complete. The city that had witnessed their reunion and romance now bore witness to their vows, sealing their love story with a promise of forever.  

They will be soon celebrating their 1-year wedding anniversary this summer and will be enjoying the large milestone at Beckta once more!
