It's All About the Journey – Rachel's Story

Jewellery is meant to tell your story.  Whether it is the first thing you bought for yourself with that first paycheck, a special gift from your love of your life, an engagement ring or an heirloom from a beloved relative, your jewellery has a story to tell.  But that journey has just begun!

Earlier this year we met Rachel, who had a very special project in mind.  Through her journey so far Rachel had acquired some very special and sentimental pieces of jewellery that were beautiful but no longer matched her lifestyle.  Keeping these treasured pieces in a drawer felt like a disservice, they still had so much more joy to bring!

When Rachel came in, she had already done her homework.  We always recommend before a redesign, that you do a little dreaming online.  Don't worry about what you have, just find some things that you love, and we will do the rest!  Rachel had always admired the spectacular design of Galadriel's ring from The Lord of The Rings.  That stunning flash of elegant sparkle as the character gracefully moved her hands.  This we could do!  After a handful of visits with Rachel brainstorming ideas to personalize the concept of the ring to make the design more personal, unique and to showcase the beautiful diamonds we were working with, we found it, Rachel's perfect design!  Glittering elegance, wrapped in nature and just a little drama, because that is where the fun is!

In the end, Rachel and all her original jewellery pieces continued their journey in a completely new style that we think suits them both beautifully! This is what Rachel had to say, "During the creative process, I stumbled upon the fact that a six-petaled lily (my favourite flower) is a symbol of purityrenewal, and transience. Furthermore, a six-petaled rose in the form of a hexafoil design is a symbol of protection. All of this significance within my ring's flower and intertwined with my faith makes my new ring more beautiful to me. Thank you, Tracy and Tammy, for your open-mindedness, ideas, guidance, kindness, and patience along the way."

Jewellery was never created or purchased to sit in a drawer.  As time has passed you are no longer who you used to be.  Your experiences have formed you into a better more vibrant version of yourself.  Every challenge taught you resilience and strength for the next stage in life.  Perhaps it's time for your jewellery to reflect not just who you've been, but the spectacular person you have become!
